Peanut Butter Protein Balls

Protein Balls

When looking for quick fix which can help me keep up with my protein intake I make this ever so easy snack balls. You can add honey, maple, agave syrup or sweetener of your choice but for me less is more 😉

All you need is:

  • 2 TBS of organic peanut butter (I use organic, plain)
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (I used vanilla) any will do
  • 1 handful of goji berries (optional) any berries or raisins

Mix all the ingredients together and form into small balls

Refrigerate for 30 min and enjoy!

  1. Yum! I totally have to try this. I have a similar recipe but without protein powder, because I really don’t like the taste.

Plus I’m not sure if my training require me to take supplements yet. Do you have any tips for those new to training that are wondering about taking supplements?

    1. Hi Fit Foodie!
I’m happy to hear that you are reading my blog – are you open for a collaboration / reblogs?
You are right – supplementation depends on the level of athleticism and the individual’s goals. Unless you are training very intensely or for a competition, you can get most nutrients from whole foods (if you do not have any deficiencies). As for protein powder – it is just a convenient option for those on tight schedule & a high protein diet. After all, it is easier and quicker to drink a protein shake post workout than eat a chicken breast with rice. Also powders usually have other ingredients which help the muscles absorb the protein faster, or so the debate goes…
