1 week out: Time to take some  pictures!

Wow… 7 days and I will be on stage, competing with other athletes. It will be the moment of truth, the time where all my hard work will come to fruition.

The physical aspect of getting ready for a comp is almost done. Now it is time to focus on the mental challenge. Stepping on stage and being judged by others and compared to others is by no means an easy feat!

This is the time to focus on the positives. Yes, I do count my blessings – I have been lucky to have carbs up until now and have gotten away with less cardio than most. On the other hand I have worked hard enough and started this journey earlier than most. I have also always tried to stay fit, which has given me a good base to start from (but I still had to push as hard, if not harder, to challenge myself to be even fitter!).

And nothing beats the feeling of achieving (or even exceeding) your goals. Looking in the mirror and being proud of what you see. That is why I am super happy with the results of my photo shoot today!

I had the great pleasure of working with a top notch team: Vivienne Balla (photographer), Gemma (stylist), Sharon (MUA) and of course my team of friends who are helping me create and bring inspirational content to you.

Here’s a sneak peek of today’s action:

It was a really fun experience and a great confidence boost!

Thank you to everyone involved! 🙏🏾💪🏾✌🏾
